As early as April 2020 right at the onset of the outbreak, RCCG was one of the first to empty their newly completed Intensive care unit on the camp ground so that we could equip our isolation centre ICU with beds, multiparameter monitors and a ventilator when the nation was under lock down with scarce medical equipment.”

She added that “a community based study done in 2018 in 500 individuals aged 18 -20 in Aiyepe community which is less than 10km from where we are today shows a staggering 27.6% prevalence which means 1 in 3 individuals tested had one form or another of Renal Failure. This demonstrates the extent of the burden of the disease on our society. It also indicates the far reaching impact of this Renal dialysis Centre on the people of Sagamu, its environs and Ogun State at large”.

The governor acknowledged that Dialysis is a major necessity for the state and that this full-fledged and ultra- modern Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis unit in Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, donated under the auspices of His Love Foundation with state-of-the-art facilities that include 3 Dialysis Machines, a Medical Water Reserve Osmosis Purification System and a 30KVA generator will not only improve healthcare delivery at the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, but guarantee better outcomes for patients with impaired renal functions and that As a matter of fact, the new dialysis centre as and commissioned today, will fit perfectly into the Administration’s plans to rehabilitate and equip hospitals and health institutions.
